A 30-second motion book trailer in one hour

I had to try it. One prompt + Claude Opus 5.5 Max = 30-second motion book trailer. I provided Claude (Cowork, Opus 5.5, Max) with a PDF of the book, a Wikipedia link, and a single instruction: "Create a dynamic 30-second motion trailer, like a motion designer’s showreel, explaining this book." In about an hour, Claude autonomously did the following: • Extracted key concepts from 592 pages: "Naive realism," self-correction, democracy vs. dictatorship, alien intelligence, and the "silicon curtain," including data points like Ur-III sheep counts and 12 million books printed between 1454 and 1500, etc... • Designed nine scenes. Network nodes transition from campfires to AI, mapped to 128 BPM (16 bars = 30 seconds). A palette shift at 15 seconds marks the transition from human to inorganic networks. • Rendered via code. No stock footage or AI image generators. Used Canvas in headless Chromium with math-based animation. Fonts: Archivo, Instrument Serif, JetBrains Mono. Implemented true motion blur using 10–32 sub-frames. 900 frames rendered in two minutes. • Synthesized audio via NumPy. Kick, bass, pads, and glitches generated and perfectly synced to the frame-rate and beat. Mastered to -14 LUFS. • Self-corrected. Reviewed frames, adjusted text timing, refined visual artifacts, and verified audio/visual sync via spectrogram analysis. Result: 1080p, 30 fps, 25 MB file.
